Srinagar, June 19, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Jammu and Kashmir while releasing the latest report on the innocent killings due to excessive use of lethal weapons has disclosed that 58 people lost their lives due to the use of pellet gun, pepper gun and tear gas shelling in the past eight years. The IFJHRJK Chairman, Mohammed Ahsan Untoo while releasing the report to the press, said that from 2008 till May 2016, 55 innocent people in the valley lost their lives due to the indiscriminate and excessive use of pellet, pepper gun and tear gas shelling.
Divulging details the report said that out of these 58 victims 33 were killed due to pellet gun firing, 17 due to tear gas shelling and 5 due to excessive use of pepper gas. The report said that an elderly lady and a pregnant woman were also among the deceased.
