Khartoum (IINA) � Five Sudanese soldiers were killed while participating in military operations against Houthis in Yemen, within the Coalition Command to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, a spokesman for Sudan's Armed Forces said on Wednesday.
"We lost five martyrs and 22 others have been wounded ... we inflicted huge losses on the enemy and are holding many prisoners of war," Army spokesman Brig. Gen. Ahmed Khalifa al-Shami said, Reuters reported.
The Coalition Command to Support Legitimacy in Yemen offered warm condolences and sympathy to the Sudanese Air Forces on the martyrdom of five Sudanese soldiers who participated in the Coalition's military operations in Yemen, According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
In a statement issued Wednesday, the Coalition Command stressed the important role being played by the Sudanese forces alongside other forces in the coalition to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and restore security and stability in Yemen and the region.
