Srinagar, June 19, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders have paid glowing tributes to Kashmiri scholar, Qazi Nisar Ahmed, on his 20th martyrdom anniversary.
APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt, visited several areas of Srinagar and paid homage to Kashmiri martyrs including Qazi Nisar Ahmed, Shaheed Rafiq Ahmad Bangroo and Javid Ahmad Malla on their martyrdom anniversaries.
Addressing a gathering at Wanipora ground, he said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be accomplished at all costs. He was accompanied by party leaders, Zulfikar Hammed, Beg Aijaz, Imtiyaz Ahmad and Farooq Ahmad.
Zafar Butt also condemned the slapping of draconian law, Public Safety Act, once again on Hurriyet leader, Masarrat Aalam Butt, and continued detention of Mushtaq-ul-Islam. He said that through such tactics India could not suppress the ongoing liberation movement. He demanded unconditional release of all illegally detained Hurriyet leaders and activists languishing in different jails.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen, Zamaruda Habib, in her statement issued in Srinagar paid rich tributes to Qazi Nisar Ahmad. She said that Qazi Nisar was a great religious scholar.
