Srinagar, June 12, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq convened a meeting of APHC Executive Council members at Rajbagh in Srinagar, the other day.
The meeting was attended by Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, Maulana Abbas Ansari, Bilal Ghani Lone, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, Musadiq Adil and Mukhtar Ahmad Waza. The members took stock of the current political situation besides discussing the party matters.
Paying rich tributes to the martyrs of 2008, 2009 and 2010, the participants said, “The troopers who committed the murders of youth are still roaming free and have not been indicted in the courts,” said a statement issued after the meeting.
Demanding impartial probe into the killings of youth during these years, the participants said, “It seems human rights violations are part of the duty of forces deployed in Kashmir.” They also called the international rights organizations to take notice of rights violation in Kashmir by the Indian armed forces.
