12 suspects arrested, Inspector General Police orders for effective checking in slum areas

Islamabad: Sabzi Mandi police Islamabad on Thursday arrested 12 suspects during search operation in its area, a police spokesman said.

The search operation was conducted at slum areas and under construction buildings and 12 suspects were arrested who could not produce any document for their identification.

IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan have directed to expand this search operation in other areas of city and asked to ensure strict monitoring and vigilance during such operations

IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan have directed all SPs and SDPOs to ensure checking at all hotels, inns and restaurants in their respective areas and a proper mechanism to be devised for checking visitors’ list from time to time.

He said some tenants might succeed to hire some houses without delivering accurate information about them and directed Station House Officers as well as other police officials to check the bio data of all persons during search operations. He said that local persons should be engaged with police during such exercise to get success against suspected elements.
