Abu Dhabi (IINA) � Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met here on Saturday with Chadian President Idriss Deby Itn, who is currently visiting the United Arab Emirates, WAM reported.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the UAE and Chad, as well as avenues of developing relations to serve the mutual interests of both countries. They also reviewed aspects of joint work, ideas, projects, and opportunities that would achieve their common interests, and the possibility of benefiting from the experiences of the two countries in many fields, especially with regard to the establishment of economic partnerships, development programs and successful projects.
Sheikh Mohamed underscored the keenness of the UAE, under the leadership of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to strengthen relations and intensify dialogue to reach a high level of cooperation and joint action.
The Chadian president expressed happiness over his visit to the UAE, and said that he also wished for further development and growth of bilateral interests.
The two sides also discussed the latest regional and international developments, especially the political developments in Libya, and ways to support security and stability efforts there, in addition to the issue of extremism and terrorism, and other major issues of mutual concern.
