Karachi: Administrator Karachi Fazlur Rehman and DCO Karachi Mohammad Hussain Syed along with city government officers visited mausoleum of Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to pay homage to the great leader on 65th Independence Day of the country. They laid floral wreath at Mazar on behalf of the citizens of Karachi and offered fateha.
Later DCO Karachi Mohammad Hussain Syed hoisted the national flag in a ceremony held at Civic Centre to mark the opening of Independence Day celebrations in City Government Karachi.
Children from different schools and scouts presented Salutes to the DCO and march past through the parade path and sang the national anthem.
DCO Karachi while talking to media representatives on this occasion urged the nation to end their differences and become one Pakistani nation so that the country could get progress.
