Karachi, November 12, 2012 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed said publication of snaps in newspapers was a very effective means of communication and the photo journalists perform this job quite responsibly and with full dedication.
He said this while addressing as chief guest in a reception held in honour of the participants of first convention of South Asia Photo Journalist which was attended by the head of Hamdard Foundation Saadia Rashid, Patron of the Association of Photo Journalist Azmat Ataka, President Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Sr. Director CSR Muhammad Rehan Khan, Director Media Management Ali Hassan Sajid and other dignitaries.
The convention was attended by photo journalist associated with the newspapers from over 20 countries and more than 100 delegates from various cities of Pakistan.
Administrator Karachi said the events occurred in all over the world were reported through snaps to the readers and this job was doing by the photo journalist with quite responsibly and the snaps taken by them presents the actual picture of the event.
He said the gathering of photo journalist in Karachi from all over the world was a proof that this city was a center of peace and tranquillity and it hosts the cultural, journalistic, health and education events regularly.
The Sr. Director CSR Muhammad Rehan Khan gave a briefing on this occasion regarding the first convention of South Asia Photo Journalist being held in Karachi.
Afterwards the Administrator Karachi appreciated the rare and great photos displayed in the exhibition of photography.
He also offered the Association of Photo Journalist to publish a book on the rare and unique snaps from the history of Pakistan and the KMC would bear all the expenditures incurred on it so that this asset could be saved for the future generations.
