Peshawar: A central leader of Awami National Party and former Federal Minister Mohammad Afzal Khan Lala has condemned the assassination of former president of Afghanistan Burhanuddin Rabani and has expressed grief and shock over such an inhuman killing of such a senior politician.
In a statement he regretted that late Rabbani was not only a former president of Afghanistan but a religious scholar and an afghan elder who being at late stage of life was just busy restoring peace in his war ravaged country but in violation of afghan and Islamic traditions and teachings and humane values he was not spared. He expressed sympathies with the family and supporters of the late Afghan President and prayed for the exaltation of the status of the martyred.
