Minister for Planning, Development, and special Initiatives Professor Ahsan Iqbal has said that equity is the key to sustainability.
He was presenting the Voluntary National Review of Pakistan at the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF-2022) at the United Nations in New York on Friday.
The Minister said sustainability is the bigger issue that can be solved through major reforms to turn round the social and economic threats towards betterment.
Professor Ahsan Iqbal said that on this occasion that Pakistan showed resilience to fight back during COVID-19 pandemic.
The minister said Pakistan is proposing to host a G-77 ministerial mid-review conference later this year so all the member states can review the progress of past 7years, learn lessons and identify the gaps. Ahsan Iqbal said through this way, we would be able to develop a road map for next 8 years to fast track our journey for achievement of SDGs 2030.
