Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has urged the international community to put united efforts to combat challenges of climate change and terrorism.
He was addressing the concluding ceremony of Two-day International Conference on “Decade of China- Pakistan Economic Corridor and Belt and and Road Initiative-From Vision To Reality” in Islamabad today.
Ahsan Iqbal said Pakistan is the victim of climate change and the seventh most vulnerable nation. He said although our contribution to global emission is less than one percent, but Pakistan is facing the worst condition.
Highlighting the significance of CPEC, Ahsan Iqbal termed it as a flagship project as it brought positive changes in the lives of people of Pakistan. He said Pakistani should learn from the expertise of China.
The Minister also expressed gratitude to the Chinese President Xi Jinping for his dynamic role to connect the nations and share the dividends of mutual progress and peace.
