Karachi: National Foods Limited informed Karachi Stock Exchange about the 44th annual general meeting of the company will be held on October 21, 2015 at Karachi.
The agenda of the meeting will be to confirm the minutes of 43rd annual general meeting held on October 22, 2014, to receive, consider and adopt the audited financial statement of the Company for the year ended June 30, 2015, to appoint External Auditors of the Company for the ensuing year, and fix their remuneration and elect seven Directors, as fixed by the Board in accordance with the provision of section 178 (1) of the Companies Ordinance.
Further, the closed period of the company is from October 14, 2015 to October 21, 2015.
National Foods Limited is a Pakistani company founded in 1970, which started out as a spice company. In 1988, National Foods became the certified vendor of McCormick, USA. National Foods marked its beginning in a rented warehouse in Dinar Chambers with initial sales amounting to Rs 16, 487 in its first fiscal year. Later, the company established a spice mill and a packaging plant that eventually evolved into a large factory complex where most of its manufacturing facilities still reside.
