Around 150 Sikh yatrees arrive in Pakistan

Around 150 Sikh Yatrees have arrived in Pakistan to participate in the celebrations of Saka Panja Sahib.

Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Additional Secretary (Shrines) Rana Shahid and Deputy Secretary Saif Ullah Khokhar along with local Sikh leaders received them warmly at Wagah Border Lahore on Friday.

Main ceremony of Saka Panja Sahib will be held at Hassanabdal on Sunday.

Talking to media persons, Akal Takht Jathedar of Golden Temple Giani Harpreet Singh paid homage to the Pakistan government for arranging special facilities for the Sikh pilgrims.

He urged the Pakistan government to issue visas to maximum Sikh Yatrees from India who want to attend various religious festivals.

Harpreet Singh said Pakistan is a holy geography for Sikhs across the world.
