Balochistan government is taking concrete measures for promotion of agriculture sector amid at increasing production of food grains in the province.
Talking to Radio Pakistan representative in Quetta on Tuesday, Director General Provincial Agriculture Department (PAD) said the existing agriculture training institute in Quetta is being strengthened at a cost of 500 million rupees.
He further said that a special programme has been launched to enhance production of various types of crops through research innovations in the province. Implementation of the programme would cost 364 million rupees.
Similarly, a project to promote horticulture is being executed at a cost of 78 million rupees in order to increase production of various types of fresh foods.
