Karachi: The beautification of the metropolis is the collective responsibility of all the stakeholders including the City District Government Karachi (CDGK). This was stated by Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan, on Sunday.
He was talking to the officials of the CDGK and representatives of the civic bodies at the Governor House here.
The Governor said that the political parties were removing their flags and wall-chalking. In this situation, it is the responsibility of the civic bodies to ensure that these do not appear.
For this, he added, there should be a system of constant monitoring and recommendations should be forwarded as part of remedial measures.
Dr. Ebad said that concerted efforts should be undertaken for the beautification of the metropolis. He further stated that the solution to the problems lies in political stability and coherence.
The Governor said that every possible step should be taken for the resolution of the city’s problems. He pointed out that there is contact at every level among the coalition partners in the province of Sindh.
