Islamabad: Mr. Ro Jo Sik, the Commercial Counsellor of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea visited the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Head Office on Friday, March 30, 2012, and met leading members of the business community.
Mr. Sik was greeted at the Federation House by Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, President-FPCCI. Also present on the occasion were Mr. Shakil Ahmed Dhingra, VP-FPCCI, Mr. Iqbal Dawood Pakwalla, VP-FPCCI and Mr. Mansha Churra. In his welcome remarks, the President thanked Mr. Sik for visiting FPCCI and interacting with the business community. He discussed the possibility of organizing a trade delegation of Pakistani businessmen to Pyongyang later during the year, and enquired about what type of Pakistani products the North Korean market would be interested in.
Mr. Sik thanked the business community for their hospitality and said that they were always welcome in North Korea. He said he would ask FPCCI’s counterpart chamber and his government to coordinate with the Pakistani side regarding the proposed visit of the Pakistani delegation. The meeting concluded with presentation of the FPCCI crest to Mr. Sik.
