Karachi: President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Muhammad Saeed Shafiq, in a press statement, informed the Business and Industrial Community and Law Enforcing Agencies that businessmen having arms licence need no permission to carry weapons for their safety. He said that the statement of IG Sindh Wajid Ali Durrani appeared in press to get permission is not acceptable.
He said that the IG Sindh should ask the decoits and criminal elements to follow Section 144 and take permission to carry weapons with liberty who are involved in illegal activities posing potential threat for citizens and the businessmen. He said that the businessmen and their security guards will carry the weapons for safety and any law enforcing agency having apprehension may contact KCCI.
