Lahore: This was stated by Inspector General of Police, Mohammad Habib-ur-Rehman while addressing to media persons at Hasan Raza Complex (Rawalpindi) today.
RPO Rawalpindi, Capt ® Muhammad Zubair, CPO Rawalpindi, Mr. Azhar Hameed Khokhar, all DPOs of Rawalpindi Region .were also present on this occasion.
PPO further said that dutiful, devoted and honest Police Officers/Officials will be encourage , whereas corrupt dishonest Police officers have no room in the department.
IGP also said, officers who take bribe and distort the facts of various cases will be disowned. All Divisional and District officers of the province have already been directed to keep their doors open round the clock for the public and no negligence in this behalf will be acceptable added the IGP .
Mohammad Habib-ur-Rehman said that earlier Police Officers in the Rawalpindi Police Darbar promised to avoid corruption .After receiving complaints IGP directed RPO Rawalpindi to appoint the under-cover police officials in the offices instead of police stations.
Later, on directions of Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, IGP, visited the residence of two sisters who were murdered few months back in ‘Laal Kurti’ (Rawalpindi). While talking to the mother of the deceased, IGP, assured for the arrest of the culprits. IGP also constituted a 3 members committee for the purpose.
Moreover IGP also constituted a committee comprising of SP Photohar Division, Raja Mohammad Basharat to probe the matter relating to a man handling case of a woman by some police officials during a public meeting of C.M Punjab yesterday. The committee was directed to furnish the report before the IGP after fact finding.
