Karachi: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah today presided a high level meeting regarding housing society scheme for members of Sindh provincial assembly, held at C.M House.
The meeting discussed matters pertaining to allotment of land for all elected representatives / MPA’s of Sindh Assembly for which housing Society has been formed. Chief Minister Sindh in his views opined that the present government intends to solve the housing problems of MPA’s and necessary land/plots will be allotted to registered cooperative housing society of the MPA’s of Sindh Assembly. He directed the officers of revenue department to sincerely devote their energies for the purpose and assist the committee for tracing, detecting clear land for allotment of plots to MPA’s housing society scheme. A committee comprising of six members headed by Sindh Local Government Minister Agha Siraj Durrani was formed to examine, visit and propose the sites/land places for further discussion and grant of required land.
The other members of committee are- Sindh Revenue Minister Jam Mehtab Dahar, Dr. Sikandar Mendhro MPA, Senior Member Board of Revenue Sindh Ghulam Ali Pasha, Member (LU) Board of Revenue and EDO (Revenue) Karachi. Besides, Mr. Anwar Ali Mahar MPA and Mr. Nazar Muhammad Baloch of Board of Revenue were also copped, who will assist for the purpose.
The meeting also discussed issues of MAI KALACHI cooperative Housing Society formed by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto during first tenure of her prime minister ship. Chief Minister Sindh directed the officers concerned to resolve all issues and all hindrance be removed, as the Board of Revenue had already allotted 79.20 acres of land for MAI KALACHI Cooperative housing Society during the period of former Chief Minister Sindh Syed Abdullah Shah and the Society had already made necessary payment.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah directed all concerned departments and agencies and officers to finalize the issues and all bottlenecks be resolved on priority basis. He said that negligent and corrupt officials will be dealt accordingly and prompt action will be taken against those who are found indulged in corruption and creating unnecessary hindrances.
Chief Minister Sindh directed EDO (Revenue) Karachi to full fill and complete all formalities and should ensure allotment / possession of 79-20 acres of land to MAI KALACHI Cooperative Housing Society as early as possible.
The meeting was attended among others by Provincial Ministers- Agha Siraj Durrani, Syed Murad Ali Shah, Mr. Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, Jam Mehtab Dahar, Syed Ali Mardan Shah, Syed Ali Nawaz Shah Rizvi, MPA’s – Dr. Sikandar Mendhro, Mr. Ghulam Qadir Chandi, Mr. Anwar Ali Mahar, Senior Member Board of Revenue Sindh Ghulam Ali Shah Pasha, Member (L-U) Board of Revenue Sindh, Secretary to C.M Sindh Mr. Alammuddin Bullo, EDO (Revenue) Sindh and others.
