Karachi: City District Government Karachi has resumed remaining work on Jail Chowrangi Flyover. The flyover is expected to be opened for traffic after completion of remaining work within next 6 months.

This was informed to DCO Karachi Muhammad Hussain Syed during his visit of flyover. Accompanied by I.G Prison Sindh Ghulam Qadir, EDO W and S Altaf G. Memon and other officers the DCO on this occasion inspected the under construction flats for employees of central prison Karachi inside the boundary wall of prison. They also inspected the space allocated for the office of I.G Prison in Muslimabad.

This may be noted that city government was performing construction work of 96 flats for employees of Karachi Prison and residence and office of I.G Prison on an empty plot in Muslimabad which will be completed soon. After that the employees and officers of prison will be shifted there and the 20 percent remaining work of Jail Chowrangi Flyover will be started again as 80 percent of the total work on the project had already completed by City Government.

During the visit DCO Karachi directed to finish the remaining work on this project as soon as possible. He said though most of the traffic related problems at the important Jail Chowrangi were already solved with the completion and opening of half of the portion of the Jail Chowrangi Flyover, the leftover work should also be completed at the earliest so that the remaining problems at this junction could also be solved.
