Coalition partners brush aside Imran’s ultimatum for snap polls

Asim October 18, 2022     Comment Closed     General

The coalition government has categorically rejected the demand of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan for early elections in the country.

In a joint statement, the government’s allied parties said no group on the basis of its power will be allowed to impose its will.

The statement said those who will take law into their hands will be dealt with according to the constitution and law.

The allied parties said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will take the decision about the appointment of army chief as per law and the constitution, without accepting any dictation and threats from the foreign funded anarchist.

The coalition partners said targeting the army chief, leadership of intelligence agencies, Chief Election Commissioner and others is blackmailing and part of a conspiracy which will not be not allowed to succeed.

They said the dirty campaign against the martyrs of Pakistan army, statements about mutiny in the army and instigation, are the steps akin to animosity against the country and will be dealt with according to the constitution and law.
