The new CNS addition comes from Concert Technology Corporation (http://www.concerttechnology.com/). Concert creates and licenses enabling technologies for personal electronics including wireless mobile devices. Concert’s research and development efforts target next generation systems for organizing, recommending, and distributing digital content, services and applications — with a particular focus around mobile applications, location based services and social media. Founded in 2006, Concert has constructed a portfolio of more than 400 patent assets with priority dates ranging from the early ’90s to present day.

Concert is offering four CNSs at the auction, with reserves set according to company applicability. A CNS is an agreement drafted by a patent holder that comprises a promise not to sue the counterparty for infringement of some or all of the patents in the patent holder’s portfolio. By allowing a company to purchase a CNS anonymously through ICAP’s auction process, ICAP provides the entity a unique opportunity to quickly and efficiently eliminate the uncertainty inherent in potential litigation without compromising their defense strategy in the event of an unsuccessful bid.
