Srinagar, June 30, 2014 (PPI-OT): The demise of wife of United Jihad Council (UJC) chief Syed Salahuddin was widely condoled across Jammu and Kashmir.
The United Jihad Council (UJC) expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise. A UJC delegation visited the residence of its chief to express solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul. Earlier, the UJC held a condolence session which was presided over by its Secretary General Shaikh Jameel-ur-Rehman.
Speaking on the occasion the UJC leaders paid eulogizing tributes to the deceased and said that her splendid life was a great precedent for women of all faiths particularly the Muslim women.
Meanwhile, Hurriyet leaders and members of Kashmiri community based in Rawalpindi and Islamabad also visited the residence of Syed Salahuddin. In a separate statement, the Vice President of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Mehmood Ahmed Saghar expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise. Saghar visited the Salahuddin’s residence and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to him.
The APHC also expressed its profound sympathies with the bereaved family. The spokesman said that Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq offered special prayers for the deceased. Hurriyet leaders, Advocate Shahidul Islam, Zafar Akbar Butt and Javed Ahmed Mir, also visited Soibugh, and expressed solidarity with the family.
The JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement said, “The deceased and her entire family’s sacrifices for the freedom movement will always be remembered and admired.”
“JKLF Supreme leader Aman Ullah Khan, Vice Chairman Salim Haroon and chief spokesman Rafiq Ahmad Dar visited the residence of Syed Salahuddin and expressed condolences to him on the demise of his wife. Another delegation comprising Noor Mohammad Kalwal, Mir Sirajuddin Dawood, Gulzar Ahmad Pehalwan and Mushtaq Ahmad visited Soibugh and met bereaved family members and expressed solidarity with them.
Hurriyet leader Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan and Fareeda Behanji led separate delegations to Soibugh to offer condolences.
Al-Umar Mujahideen chief Mushtaq Zargar, Jamiat-ul-Mujahedeen’s General Abdullah, Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, Mahaz-e-Azadi leader Qutb-e-Alam besides several others expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of Salahuddin’s wife.
