Cairo Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi stressed the importance of the international community's adoption of a multi-level strategy that includes dealing with all elements and parties supporting terrorist organizations to deny them access shelter, weapons, training camps or financing.
Meeting with leaders of the American evangelical community led by Chairman of US President Donald Trump's Faith Advisory Board Mike Evans, President Sisi emphasized the need to confront extremist ideologies and promote the values of tolerance and coexistence. He also underlined the importance of strengthening the national institutions in the countries of the region, which suffer from crises in order to fill the vacuum that provides opportunities for terrorism to grow.
Egypt's Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said the meeting discussed the role that can be played by Egypt and the United States to confront terrorism through collective international action.
