Eleven including suspect arrested 11 kilogram hashish seized

Islamabad: Islamabad Police on Friday arrested 11 people including seven suspects from different areas during search operation and recovered stolen property and 11 kilogram hashish from their possession, a police spokesman said.

Following the directions of SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan, special search was conducted in areas of PS Kohsar, PS Margalla, PS Bhara Kau , PS Shalimar and

Industrial Area police stations and seven suspects were arrested.

Police conducted search operation in their respective jurisdictions including slum areas, under construction plazas and nabbed a total of seven suspects, further investigation was underway.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Riaz Sub Inspector of PS Industrial Area police station arrested one accuse namely Tariq and recovered stolen property amounting rupees 14,000 from him.

Muhammad Bashir Sub Inspector of CIA Police on tip off intercepted a car bearing registration number PRB-1118 near Badana Kalan and arrested 2 car occupants Mohammad Ali and Shar Afzal in possession 10 kilograms hashish.

Mumtaz Ahmad Sub Inspector of PS Bhara Kau during special checking arrested one accuse namely Saeed Afzal and recovered 1.20 kilogram hashish from him.

SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has further directed all police officials to expand search operation and conduct thorough checking in their areas. He said that guest houses, hotels and inns should be also checked and complete bio data of the guests staying there should be obtained.
