Faisalabad: Faisalabad Electric Supply Company has issued a long list of defaulters including five federal and 16 provincial organizations/departments. A spokesman of FESCO said that these departments owe Rs.280 million and final notices are being issued to these departments.
Giving further details he said that Pakistan Railways is defaulter of Rs.22.9 million, Sui Northern Gas Pipe Lines (SNGPL) Rs.1.3 million, PTCL Rs.1.2 million, Defense Organization Rs.14 million, G.M National Drainage Program Rs.1.2 million. Similarly among the provincial organizations Chief Engineer Chashma is defaulter of Rs.3.1 million, Punjab Irrigation and Power Department Rs.24.9 million, Punjab Live Stock and Dairy Development Rs.1.2 million, WASA Rs.93 million, Punjab Police Rs.9.6 million, DHQ Jhang Rs.1 million, TMA Chiniot Rs.3.6 million, TMA Sargodha Rs.15.9 million, TMA Khushab Rs.2.3 million, TMA Mianwali Rs.11.6 million, TMA Essa Khel Rs.22.3 million, TMA Madina Town Faisalabad Rs.1.5 million, Iqbal Town Rs.2.1 million, Forest Department Rs.1 million.
He said that electricity supply to these departments would be severed if they failed to clear their dues. Spokesman of FESCO further said that maximum amount of Rs.93 million pending with WASA Faisalabad, its electricity connections were disconnected earlier but on the assurance of WASA administration and in view of public problem these connection were restored. However, again they have been given final notice to clear the pending dues.
