Islamabad: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan, Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo inaugurated a sui-gas supply scheme to Koieko Bhalwal, Tehsil Dapalpur, district Okara on 22-5-2011. People of the area thanked the Federal Minister for his vision and services he rendered to the people of Dapalpur and Okara. Fed. Min. appreciated the efforts by the pm and president who made it possible for him to inaugurate a gas supply scheme there. He said round the clock availability of sui gas will be ensured to facilitate the industry around Okara so that people of his constituency may have more jobs than the previous years.
He said in the new budget a number of development schemes will also be initiated in Okara to improve the standard of living of the people. He said a no. of dams and power generation project have been finalised to add more electricity to the national grid. He said the relation with other countries will be maintained without compromising the security and sovereignty of Pakistan.
The federal minister said he would do his level best for the uplift of the area. Afterwards he joined the general public and had light discussion with them and solved their issues he said no exploitation of the farmers at the hands of provincial food departments will be tolerated. He said in the next fiscal year 1500km roads of his constituency will be carpeted to facilitate the commuters. He said that from each union council 10 deserving students will selected for scholarships and jobs. He informed the gathering that people from all political and social back grounds will be given sui gas connections. “I and my family are at your service while being very humble, it is because of you people that I have reached the parliament,” Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo concluded.
