Islamabad: Met office predicted first pre-monsoon rain/showers over North-Eastern parts (Islamabad, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha division and Kashmir) during next 48 hours (Friday/Saturday).
Met office informed that some pre-monsoon currents have started to penetrate in upper parts of Pakistan that would produce first pre-monsoon rain/showers during next 48 hours. Due to this expected rain/showers the heat wave conditions are likely to subside in Punjab, KPK and Kashmir from Saturday.
The second spell of pre-monsoon rain/showers expected from 20th June and the 3rd spell in last week of June.
The regular monsoon rains are likely to start from first week of July.
