Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has urged Egyptian companies to avail of the ample investment opportunities in Pakistan in various sectors like construction, energy, and health, Radio Pakistan reported on Wednesday.

He stated this while talking to a delegation of Egyptian businessmen and entrepreneurs who had called on him in Cairo.

Minister Qureshi assured the Egyptian investors and businessmen that the Government of Pakistan will extend all possible cooperation and facilitation to their profit-oriented businesses and investment activities in Pakistan.

He affirmed that Pakistan’s improved rating in terms of ease of doing business at the international level depicts the complete confidence of the international community in the policies of the present government, adding that the existing brotherly relations between Pakistan and Egypt can be translated into strong bilateral trade and economic ties by exploring their true investment potential.

The representatives of the Egyptian companies also expressed their interest in investing in Pakistan’s healthcare, energy, and construction sectors.

The President and CEO of Elsewedy Electric, Ahmed Elsewedy, met the Foreign Minister of Pakistan in Cairo, and spoke of his keenness to invest in Pakistan. Welcoming this interest, Qureshi said that Pakistan is an emerging market, and businesses across the world are interested in investing in Pakistan.
