Islamabad, September 10, 2015 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Police have busted two various gangs of dacoits as well as car lifters besides recovering weapons, stolen cars and motorbike from their possession, a police spokesman said.
According to details, Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Islamabad Police has busted four- member gang involved in dacoities at bank as well as super stores. Senior police officials assigned the task to SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas to ensure arrests of those involved in various dacoity incidents. Special team was constituted under supervision of DSP CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon by him which also included Sub-Inspector Tariq Rauf, ASI Haider Ali Shah and others.
This team worked hard and succeeded to arrest four criminals involved in dacoities at banks and super stores of Islamabad. They have been identified as Aamir Sohail alias Billa s/o Muhammad Ikhlaq, Ramdad Khan s/o Raza Khan, Momin Khan s/o Raza Khan residents of Rawalpindi and Ikhtiar Gul s/o Haji Khattak resident of Islamabad.
During the preliminary investigation, they confessed to commit dacoity at Meezan Bank in Tarlai area as a case (no.313) has been already registered about it on August 17, 2015 at Koral police station. They also admitted to murder a security guard Gulzar Khan employed at Al-Syed Super Mart in Ali Pur when he offered resistance to them during dacoity attempt.
Moreover, they admitted their involvement in dacoities at Mashaallah General Store, Irfanabad Taramri and at farm number 25, Orchard Scheme Global Road Islamabad. Further investigation is underway from them and police has also recovered two 30 bore pistol and motorbike (RIL-6817) from them.
Meanwhile, another team of anti-car lifting cell (ACLC) of Islamabad police was constituted by SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas. This team including ASP ACLC, In-charge ACLC Syed Abdul Sattar Shah, SI Afzal Khan, ASIs Sarfraz Ahmed, Muhammad Sharif, Danish Farooq, constables Gul Mir, Fahad Ameen, Muhammad Nisar, Zaka Ullah and Muhammad Shehzad nabbed five car lifters. They have been identified as Muneer Ahmed alias Muneera Lahori, Imran alias Sher, Qasim Raza, Asif Javed and Karman alias Kami and further investigation is underway from them.
They used to lift cars, temper their numbers and later sell them after preparing fake registration books. Police recovered Bolan (AW-552), Corolla (LEA-3588), Suzuki Mehran (LEA-1065), several fake registration books as well as transfer letters from these car lifters. SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this performance of SIU and ACLC teams and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for team members.
