Srinagar, March 08, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has condemned the continued detention of Hurriyet General Secretary, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan and Kashmiri intellectual, Syed Abdur Rehman Gilani on baseless charges.
Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, also denounced the invoking of draconian law, Public Safety Act on dozens of Hurriyet leaders and activists. He called for peaceful protests on Friday against the highhandedness of Indian authorities.
The Hurriyet Chairman said that although India had to face embarrassment on registering cases against Jawaharlal Nehru University students under sedition charges, but he feared that Kashmiri intellectual Professor SAR Gilani still might be made a scapegoat. Syed Ali Gilani said that his only crime was to be a Kashmiri and communalist government of India was subjecting him to political vendetta.
