Karachi, February 05, 2014 (PPI-OT): The Special Assistant to Chief Minister and incharge of CM House Public Complaint Cell, Imtiaz Mallah has said that PPP Govt believes to redress the public problems at grass root level and has established public complaint cell with toll free telephone No 0800-91915 since 2008 not only to get the complaints of the people resolved but also get first hand information / feedback from the people about the performance of different provincial Govt organizations in resolving the public grievances and delivering their efficient deliveries to the people.
He said that to give access to common men to highest authorities was the good but automechinzm for the efficient deliveries of the public oriented organization. He said that during the month of January 2014, the CM House Public Complaint Cell received 542 complaints from different people out of which 530 complaints have been got resolved while only 12 are in pending.
Giving the breakup of the public complaints, Imtiaz Mallah said that as many as 162 complaints were received against Karachi Electric Supply Corporation, while 149 complaints against PTCL, 93 complaints against Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KW and SB), 73 against SSGC, 40 against Sindh Police and 25 complaints against KMC.
Mr. Mallah said that to lodge the complaint with CM House complaint cell was very easy and effective mechanism to get the problem resolved while sitting in home instead of running pillar to post.
He advised to the people to avail this facility not in their own interest but in the interest of govt working for the betterment of whole society. He said that govt alone could not be success in all forums of development, monitoring and efficient deliveries of organization but people support in this regard is very much essential.
