Islamabad, November 05, 2014 (PPI-OT): Business community is playing an important role in the economic development of the country and government should extend maximum facilitation to them to further improve the economy, observed Engr. He said CDA has not been able to provide required services to traders and industrialists and local government system should be introduced in the federal capital to enact new laws to address the key issues of businessmen. He said Pakistan has great potential to promote its exports with Afghanistan and both countries should improve bilateral cooperation in order to realize untapped potential of trade and economic relations.
He said France and Germany have replaced enmity with cooperation to promote trade relations and was hopeful that Pakistan and India would one day adopt the same approach to improve the living standards of their people. He said many industrialists have left KPK due to security challenges and government should improve law and order situation in this troubled region to promote business activities.

Speaking at the occasion, Muhammad Shakeel Munir, Acting President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry highlighted the various issues being faced by the business community. He said the local elected representatives have not been helpful in taking up the important issues of businessmen as well as the citizens in the parliament due to which many problems were still lying unresolved and urged that the local MNAs should play their role positively in facilitating the business community in smooth growth of business activities.
