Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Science and Information Technology Muhammad Ayub Khan has said that the government was utilizing all its available resources for eradication of the menace of terror, making Swat as cradle of peace besides carrying out construction and development works for the prosperity of the masses.
This he said while addressing a mammoth public gathering at Lalko, Matta Swat on Thursday. The function was also addressed by Minister for Information and Public Relations, Mian Iftikhar Hussain, ANP Provincial General Secretary, Taj uddin Khan, Bakhtiar Contractor and Rooh ul Amin. On this occasion besides ANP Swat president Darwish Khan, former Nazim UC Ashari, Qasim Khan, elite of the area and people in large number were present.
During the gathering prominent figures of the area from various political parties viz a viz Muslim League-Q, JUI and PPP including Mian Sher, Gul Sher, Inayat ur Rehman, Muhammad Nawaz, Umar Khitab, Ihsanullah, Khanzada, Shah Wazir Khan and Khalid Khan resigned from their respective political parties and announced joining ANP. They also reposed full confidence on the leadership of ANP Central President, Asfandyar Wali Khan and Provincial Minister Muhammad Ayub Khan and assured them their fullest support.
The Provincial Ministers, Mian Iftikhar Hussain and Muhammad Ayub Khan while welcoming the new entrance in the fold of ANP congratulated them and wore them red caps. Muhammad Ayub Khan said that the ANP was the sole representative party of the Pakhtuns which is ready all the time for every sacrifice for the cause of Pakhtuns, their protection and due rights.
He added that the sacrifices of ANP against the war of terrorism and restoration of peace in Malakand Division particularly in Swat were the ample proofs during which more than 300 workers and office bearers were martyred. He further said that they had got votes in the name of peace for which they could offer every sacrifice when ever needed. He said that they were the soldiers of Bacha Khan and Khan Abdul Wali Khan and would never bow down against any pressure but rather they would face the challenge with courage and would never hesitate any sacrifice for the protection of this sacred land.
Muhammad Ayub Khan while referring to the collective developmental works said that construction work was going on over the girls high school in Sakhara. Likewise, with the estimated cost of Rs. 3 crore work on Rehmat Kot to Sakhara road, Rs. 2 crore over Nokhara road, construction work over Nokhara – Bangi Bridge with the cost of Rs. 1 crore 60 lakhs were going on. He on this occasion announced Rs. 40 lakhs for various development schemes and Rs. one lakh for stadium in Garhi as well.
