Govt making all out efforts to recover missing persons: Azam Nazeer

Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar says the government is making all out efforts to recover the missing persons.

He was chairing a meeting of the cabinet committee on enforced disappearances and missing persons in Islamabad on Thursday.                                      

Speaking on the occasion, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan said the government understands the pain and grief of families of missing persons and making sincere efforts to this effect.

Minister for Poverty Alleviation Shazia Marri and Human Rights activist Sammi Baloch said the committee is a ray of hope for the families of missing persons.

Sammi Baloch said it was due to the confidence reposed by families of the missing persons in the committee’s efforts that they called off their sit-in in Quetta.      

Family members of missing persons including journalist Mudasir Naro, Dr. Din Muhammad Baloch and others were invited to attend the meeting to ascertain the cause and nature of these cases.
