Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan has said the government is taking various steps for women empowerment so that the women of Balochistan could be able to play their important role in progress and prosperity of the country.
He was addressing the unveiling ceremony of Gender Equality and Women Empowerment Policy 2020-24 in Quetta.
The Chief Minister said that steps are being taken for provision of quality education to the women of the province at the same time effective legislation was also being enacted for empowerment of women.
Jam Kamal urged the women parliamentarians to introduce women oriented projects and make efforts for welfare of women of all areas of Balochistan equally.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Gender Equality and Women Empowerment Policy was formed with the joint collaboration of Women Development Department and United Nations Women Pakistan.
