Karachi, February 13, 2014 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Rauf Akhtar Farooqui has said that performing Hajj is a great deed for Muslims. Pilgrims’ prays are surely accepted. Allah almighty listens prays of all. The employees going for Hajj are very fortunate to get this opportunity and they should pray for prosperity of their family, organization, city and the country since this city is developing by those prays and regarded as the heart of Pakistan.
He said this while addressing on the occasion of a draw for Hajj for KMC employees on Thursday. On this occasion Sr. Director Municipal Services Masood Alam, Sr. Director Medical and Health Services Dr. Muhammad Ali Abbasi, Director Media Management Ali Hassan Sajid, Director Religious Affairs Wasim Baqri, and other officers were also present.
Administrator Karachi congratulated the winners of the draw and said that performing hajj is the dream of every Muslim and you are fortunate that your dream has come true. On this occasion Director Religious Affairs Wasim Baqri said that 50 KMC employees will go for Hajj this year in which 70 percent of quota has been allocated for the employees of grade 1 to 15 and 30 percent for the employees of grade 16 and above.
Rs20million budget has been allocated for Hajj of the employees and Rs3 Lac and 50 thousand will be spent for per pilgrim. He informed that a sum of 1947 employees from various departments submitted applications for Hajj and all process of draw was transparent whereas waiting list of 20 employees was also made. If anyone could not go to Hajj, someone in place of him would be sent for Hajj from the list.
