Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar has stressed the importance of women’s role in addressing global issues.
Speaking at the event on “Feminist Foreign Policy”, hosted by the Foreign Minister of Germany, on the sidelines of the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York on Thursday, she emphasized the importance of the voice of women leaders in addressing issues of international peace, security and development, in particular the efforts to combat, mitigate and adapt to Climate Change.
She said that recent floods in Pakistan endangered the well-being of more than 650,000 pregnant women.
The event was attended by a score of women Ministers and leaders.
