Islamabad: The Committee considered the ABOLITION OF DISCRETIONARY QUOTAS IN HOUSING SCHEMES BILL, 2011 in detail. The Committee pointed out various deficiencies in the legal language of the Bill and asked the Movers to review the said Bill in the light of Committee recommendations and deferred it till next meeting of the Committee.
Responding to the observation of the Committee regarding the discretionary powers of allotment, the representative of the M/o Hosing and Works informed that there is no observance or provision of discretionary quota of allotment to any department or individual, therefore, there seemed to be no justification of this Bill.
