In GB, 3-day long national anti-polio campaign begins from tomorrow

In Gilgit Baltistan, the three day long national campaign against Polio will begin from Monday.

The opening ceremony of the polio campaign was held at the Directorate of Extension Program for Immunization in Gilgit.

Coordinator to Chief Minister GB Sabir Hussain kicked off the drive giving drops to a child under five years age.

During the campaign 252,000 children under five years of age will be given polio vaccination drops.

The health department has established 1542 mobile teams, 71 transit points, and 389 fixed sites and 564 supervisory staff have been posted.

District Polio Control Rooms have also been implemented in the Deputy Commissioner Offices of all districts to monitor the polio campaign. A provincial control room has also been established in the provincial office of EPI.
