Srinagar, November 11, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chief Patron of Jammu and Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA), Muhammad Azam Inqilabi has said that Indian rulers are hell-bent upon staging election drama in Kashmir to pose New Delhi’s military occupation over the territory as democracy.
Muhammad Azam Inqilabi in a statement in Srinagar said, “Indian imperialists want to coerce Kashmiris into submission through military might,” adding, “This forced Kashmir youth to adopt way of Mota and Hattin battles.”
“For the past 25 years of armed resistance, our 1.5 lakh people were martyred,” he added.
MeA patron said Indian troops backed by draconian laws have become trigger-happy to create scenes of Pathribal and Chattergam, at their will.
He strongly condemned the detention of resistance leaders including Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Nayeem Khan, Bashir Butt, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Zafar Akbar Butt and Ayaz Akbar.
“Already Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Masarrat Aalam, Dr. Qasim have spent most of their life in jails and even now are in jails,” he added.
He said Kashmir is a nuclear flashpoint and a powder keg and its resolution is must for peace in South Asia.
