Srinagar, February 20, 2014 (PPI-OT): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has said that the Indian judiciary gives verdicts in the interest of India and on basis of political ideologies. Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Srinagar, while comparing the commutation of Rajive Gandhi’s killers and execution of Muhammad Afzal Guru, said that hanging the later was to satisfy the collective conscious of the Indian people.
He said that it had been proved that there was no justice for the people of Kashmir in the Indian judiciary. He said that the United Nations should take notice of the injustices in the Indian judiciary. He said that the innocence of Afzal Guru would bring fruit.
Meanwhile, the JKPFL General Secretary, Ghulam Muhammad Parray in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly denounced the Indian judiciary for its dual standard. He said that hanging of Muhammad Afzal Guru was an attempt to terrify the Kashmiri people, especially the Hurriyet leaders and activists. He said that the people of Kashmir should not pin any expectations with the Indian judiciary.
