Info Minister vows to address challenge of climate change


Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has expressed government’s commitment to address the challenge of climate change in collaboration with international partners.

He was addressing a news conference flanked by Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, Romina Khurshid Alam in Islamabad today.

The Minister said contribution of Pakistan in global carbon emission is miniscule, but unfortunately, the country is included in the list of those nations which are suffering badly due to the hazardous impacts of climate change.

Attaullah Tarar called for raising awareness to grassroots level to address this subject and convince the general public to participate in the tree plantation.

Information Minister commended the efforts of Coordinator to Prime Minister on Climate Change, Romina Khurshid Alam for building liaison with international partners to address the issue of climate change.

edge of one hundred billion dollars climate finance by advanced nations for developing countries as a major breakthrough to deal the issue of climate change.
