DUBAI 25 November 2014 – The International News Media Association (INMA) held its first-ever conference in the Middle East last week with representatives from seven countries in the region.
The INMA Middle East Publishers’ Conference November 18-19 in Dubai featured a stellar lineup of speakers from the world’s leading news media companies. A common theme was how publishers are making the transition from print to multi-media and how those companies embraced efforts to become digitally fluent.
“The Dubai conference was a great first step toward connecting Middle East publishers to the INMA conversation worldwide about the great transformation from print to digital,” said Earl J. Wilkinson, Executive Director and CEO of INMA. “Like any introductory meeting, it was the one-on-one conversations that resonated.”
The conference was held at the J.W. Marriott Dubai with the support of market-leading media companies Gulf News and Khaleej Times.
Conference delegates came from Bahrain, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
