Srinagar, September 30, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has appealed to the UN Secretary General to take steps to implement the resolutions passed by the World Body vis-à-vis the Kashmir dispute for ensuring peace and stability in South Asia. The HCBA in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Association in a letter addressed to the Secretary General drew his attention to various provisions of the UN Charter. It said that it had apprised the Secretary General of the need to resolve the Kashmir dispute according to the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiri people without any further delay.
As per the statement the HCBA stated that Pakistan and India were fighting a low profile war at the Line of Control in which hundreds of innocent lives were being lost and grave human rights violations were taking place in Indian occupied Kashmir where people were picked at random and killed in custody or in fake encounters.
