Islamabad: The Ambassador of Iran H.E. Mashaallah Shakri called on Federal Minister for Health Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada today and congratulated him on the assumption of the charge of the Federal Minister for Health.
The Ambassador remained with the Minister for some time and discussed matters of mutual and bilateral interest with special reference to co-operation in health sector and energy. The Ambassador invited the Health Minister of Pakistan to visit Iran for enhancing co-operation between the two countries in the field of health and energy sector.
The Minister thanked the Ambassador and said that Pakistan and Iran have common faith, culture and common history. He said that people and government of Pakistan have good brotherly relation with the people and government of Iran which will further be strengthened will the passage of time, he added. He also sought the help of Iran in setting up emergency hospitals in the backwards and far-flung areas of Balochistan, Southern Punjab, Interior Sindh, FATA, Gilgit Baltistan, and AJK. The Minister told the Ambassador that he will soon extend invitation letter to the Health Minister of Iran to visit Pakistan.
