Karachi, March 10, 2016 (PPI-OT):Senior Advisor of Federal Ombudsman’s Regional Office Farzana Jabeen has said that K-Electric should create a system to Stop Over-billing so that citizens can get rid of over-billing. She was hearing the applications against over-billing of K-electric in Camp Office of Deputy Commissioner Malir. She said that Federal Ombudsman Authority is providing people instant justice and poor citizens contacting to this authority because neither any fees is received by them nor they need to hire an advocate.
Advisor of Federal Ombudsman’s Regional Office Muhammad Yameen deducted the amount of the fines and directed to receive remaining billed amount in instalments during hearing of Masroor Akram’s application. He said hearing of Waseem Khan’s application that issuing Bill despite not using Electricity is Illegal. He revised the said bill upon which applicant was happy and went back praying for him.
Representative of under-construction Masjid-e-Taqwa Molana Liaquat Ali Khan told the Ombudsman Court that there is no meter in under-construction mosque but three thousand rupees are being received in respect of bill, while one thousand rupees are being received by another under construction mosque, so it is requirement of justice that one thousand should be received by us as well. Upon which advisor of Ombudsman’s Court said that at least K-electric should respect the mosque.
