KP observes one-day mourning as death toll of Peshawar terror attack soars to 93

The death toll of Peshawar blast has risen to 93 as rescue operation is still underway and debris of mosque is being removed.

According to Police Control Room Peshawar, more than two-hundred injured were brought to the Lady Reading hospital, out of which about one-hundred injured are under treatment in the hospital and the rest have been discharged.

Meanwhile, funeral prayers of forty martyrs have been offered so far at Police Lines Peshawar Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi and Kohat.

According to details, funeral prayers of thirty-three martyrs were offered at Police Lines Peshawar, funeral prayers of four martyrs offered in Charsadda and one each in Mardan, Swabi and Kohat.

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali also offered funeral prayers at Police Lines Peshawar. He prayed for higher ranks of the martyred souls and patience for the bereaved families.

Meanwhile, Rescue 1122 spokesman Bilal Ahmad Faizi told Radio Pakistan that teams have so far taken out more than twenty-two dead bodies and two injured since midnight.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Chief Minister Muhammad Azam Khan has announced one-day mourning in the province after the sorrowful mosque blast in Peshawar.
