Peshawar: A meeting to discuss and review the reservations of all stakeholders on University of Peshawar Ordinance 2011 and proposed model universities act before tabling on the floor of the assembly for approval, was held with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Higher Education, Qazi Muhammad Asad in the chair at Peshawar on Friday.
The meeting besides others was also attended by Minister for Information and Public Relations, Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Secretary Higher Education Mrs. Farrah Hamed, Secretary Elementary Education Mushtaq Jadoon, President PUTA and representatives of University of Peshawar.
The meeting after listening point of view of all the stakeholders decided service structure for the administrative and management of the University of Peshawar on the pattern of University of Engineering and Technology and University of Agriculture Peshawar for providing them an opportunity of promotion upto grade 20. The administrative staff was also assured that efforts would be made to give them representation in Syndicate and Senate of University of Peshawar.
Briefly speaking on the occasion Mian Iftikhar Hussain maintained that University of Peshawar besides the first and big university of the province, was also the mother university of all the universities and the provincial government would try its level best to provide maximum facilities as per its status.
He while assuring removing of reservations of the stakeholders said that the holding of this meeting was meant to resolve their problems once for all.
