Minister of State receives Rice Donation for Flood Affectees

Islamabad: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar received Thai Ambassador, H.E Marut Jitpatima at the Foreign office today. The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs along with the Thai Ambassador, attended a handing over ceremony of 20,000 tons of rice, donated from the Thai government for the flood affected people of Pakistan.

The Thai Ambassador referring to the strong relations between Pakistan and Thailand conveyed his Government’s appreciation for the resilience displayed by the people of Pakistan during and after floods.

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs expressed deep appreciation for the donation made by the Thai government. The Minister of State conveyed Pakistan’s deep gratitude to the Government and the people of Thailand for the generous contribution.

The Minister of State expressed hope that the mutual goodwill and emotional bonds existing between Pakistan and Thailand would further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.
